CareLoops is a personal assistant you reach on WhatsApp. This page says plainly what
we collect, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and how to make us delete it.
What we collect
Your WhatsApp phone number, which WhatsApp gives us when you message us.
Your mobile phone number, if you give it to us in the app to confirm it is yours or to receive text messages.
The content of messages you send us, and the replies we send back.
If you speak to us on a phone call, the audio of that call while it is in progress, and the text it is transcribed into.
Reminders, price watches and notes you ask us to keep, because keeping them is the service.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for or store payment card details.
We do not read your other WhatsApp conversations. WhatsApp only passes us messages addressed to CareLoops.
We do not buy data about you from anyone else.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number, we send you a one-time code by text message to confirm the number is really yours.
After that we only text you about things you asked for, such as a reminder you set. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
How often you hear from us depends on how you use CareLoops. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@careloops.io.
No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Your number is shared only with Plivo, our telecoms provider, and only so they can deliver the message you asked for.
Who processes it
Meta Platforms, for WhatsApp message delivery, under their own terms.
Amazon Web Services, in the United States, for the assistant itself: Amazon Bedrock generates replies, Amazon Transcribe converts call speech to text, and Amazon Polly converts replies back to speech.
Plivo, our telecoms provider, for connecting phone calls and delivering text messages.
Your messages are not used to train anyone's models.
Where it is stored
Conversation history and anything you ask us to remember are held on our own server in Amazon's Ohio region, on an encrypted disk.
Access to that server is restricted to named administrators and there is no password login.
Our website
When you visit careloops.io we count page views and clicks on our sign-up buttons with our own tool, not an advertising tracker.
It sets no cookies. It keeps a random ID in your browser instead of your IP address, and notes only the name of the site that sent you here.
None of it is shared or sold.
How long we keep it
Conversation history is kept while your account is active, so the assistant remembers what you told it.
Ask us to delete your data and we remove your conversation history and stored reminders within 30 days.
Call audio is not retained after a call ends. Only the transcript is kept, and only as part of the conversation.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any message, on WhatsApp or by text, and we stop messaging you.
Reply HELP to any text message and we will tell you how to reach us.
Message DELETE MY DATA, or email us, and we erase your history.
Ask us what we hold about you and we will tell you.
You can block the number in WhatsApp at any time, which stops everything immediately.
Security
Traffic to our servers is encrypted in transit. Stored data sits on encrypted disks.
Requests from WhatsApp are cryptographically verified before we act on them, so a forged message cannot trigger a reply.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
Children
CareLoops is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and date it.
